all BMX project partners attending the meeting took a tour of the facilities of FUNDACION UNIVERSIDAD SAN JORGE, in Zaragoza. They visited the physical education faculty, the laboratories where coaches and researchers carry out their studies and research on athlete performance, the gym and the center’s surroundings.



During the two days meeting, managers, researchers, and trainers discussed the development of the IO3 “BMX Training Course – Open Educational Resource”. The team is working on the design and developing of a comprehensive BMX training course for coaches and trainers, based on evidence and scientific studies.

The contents of the e-learning modules to be uploaded to the Online Learning Platform, have been defined in small working groups.
Moodle has been selected for the training course, because of its usability and interactive options between teachers and students and students-students
The results of the research studies will be incorporated in a specific open-access BMX Training Course.
It will be available in 6 languages: English, Spanish, Italian, Latvian, Portuguese and Slovak.

BMX training courses will be articulated in 4 different sections:
- General knowledge –Scientific and generic transversal modules to all sport modalities as sociology, psychology, anatomy, pedagogical contents, teaching methodology
- Specific knowledge – scientific and technical specific modules for BMX (Physical conditioning, rules, technique, tactic, psychology): Scientific and technical specific modules for BMX .This part concludes with a module of professional development.
- Complementary knowledge: TIC resources applied to BMX training and social demand analysis:
- Practice knowledge: supervised internships, applying all the acquired knowledge to field training
on the 22nd of April, the team participated in the BMX Ecosystem Workshop, one of the Spanish Multiplier Event planned for BMX project and focused on athletes and their environment.
